Before coming to Memphis to perform on his way to the Juke Joint Festival in Clarksdale, MS, John-Alex took the time to sit with me and discuss his career.
We talked about his youth and how music came into his life, how he began performing when he moved to Vermont and his journey to Europe and the east coast of the US before heading back to Colorado.
We also got to listen to tracks from the album Juke Joint Thunderclap and took some calls from fans.
