James Armstrong was on the road touring by the time he was 17.
He has had his music placed in movies, was seriously injured in a home invasion during which his young son was also injured.
His third album earned him 2 Handy Award (Blues Music Award) Nominations and then he did not record for 11 years.
Now, his new album Blues At The Border is putting him square back in the Blues Music World.
I spent time speaking with James about his remarkable life and the music he is making today, while we listened to songs from Blues At The Border.
