Fresh off a tour in Europe spent fronting Big Brother & The Holding Company, Mary Bridget has landed the understudy role as Janis Joplin in the touring production of One Night with Janis Joplin and been nominated for Two Blues Blast Awards for best New Artist Debut CD and the Sean Costello Rising Star Award.
Mary and I sat and talked and laughed for almost an hour discussing her life beginning with her first dance recital where she danced until she fell down...but heard applause and liked it, to her recent run as Janis in the stage play One Night With Janis.
We listened to tunes from Wanna Feel Somethin' the album which has earned her the Blues Blast Nominations.
