Sterling specializes in playing Chicago-style, slide guitar blues in a contemporary style on the lap steel guitar. His latest album, Let It Slide is a collection of some sweet music.
He and I sat and discussed his early career where he was a stand-up rocking guitarist, who played in a multitude of bands before settling back in his home town in Pennsylvania.
We talked about how he had to give up the guitar due to health issues and how the lap-steel came into his life.
