Clarksdale & Juke Joint Festival 2014

One fantastic event held every year in Clarksdale, MS - this is the 11th Anniversary

The main event is Saturday, but there are events going on from Thursday through Sunday

The entire town gets involved in this event.  Storefronts that might be empty throughout the rest of the year are occupied with goods or music...

Ah the music...every three feet there is music...During the day, the music is all free...inside and out...planned stages, buskers...and games and fun for the entire family.

At night, some 19 venues all offered music and one wristband would get you into every single one...and the cost, a tiny $15 in advance and $20 at the door...

Here are a few of the pictures I took during the day on Saturday

Date for next year is Saturday April 11...So from the 9th through the 12th, Clarksdale will, once again, be covered in music and fun...make your plans, hotel rooms go very fast.

 My Homebase for the day
