05/19/14 Jim Byrnes Sat On The Couch

Jim Byrnes grew up in St. Louis in a neighborhood where Ike and Tina performed almost nightly.

He fell in love with the Blues early on and even a near-death experience could not keep him away from his two loves, Blues and acting.

Jim has been doing both for over 40 years and you will instantly recognize the actor, though maybe not the musician.



The musician has been nominated for multiple Juno Awards and has won three himself, along with numerous other awards.

His latest album, with Producer Steve Dawson once again, is entitled St Louis Blues and is a homage to the music of his home city.

Jim and I talked about both careers and listened to tunes from the album.
