06/16/14 COUCH KID NEW MUSIC Andy T-Nick Nixon Band "Livin' It Up"

Andy T & Nick Nixon come back with their latest album, Livin It Up, the follow-up to their critically acclaimed BMA nominated debut, Drink, Drank Drunk.

We talked about the songs on the album and the time in the studio with producer Anson Funderburgh and their upcoming summer tour which will include a2 performances during the Waterfront Blues festival and we played some of the songs from this great album that drops on June 17th.

While I hang on the Gulf Shore of Alabama, I want to send congratulations to my COUCH KIDS who were honored with nominations in the 2013 Blues last Music Awards!

Of course, their being on The Couch had nothing to do with their nominations, but I can be proud to have had the opportunity to sit and talk with these wonderful human beings

Andy Talamantez (Andy T) was born and raised in Southern California and has played with Guitar Shorty and Smokey Wilson. His guitar styling is based upon the legends, but he has infused it with a signature style all his own. He moved to Nashville back in 2008 and has been making music from there since.
