10/22/12 NEW MUSIC with Nick Black

Nick Black currently is lead guitarist and vocalist for Victor Wainwright & the Wildroots, but his musical background leans more toward the sounds of retro-soul.

Nick originally joined me on The Couch back in November of 2011 and on this night he came back to premier his new album Soul Diaries, which will be dropping this coming Thursday.

Nick Black is a Memphis native with a flavor for the R&B sounds which have been flowing for so many years from this city of music.

His sound is a blend of R&B, Soul, and even Neo-Soul, combining Soulful tunes with a hip-hop lyric.
