Eric Hughes has been playing on Beale Street and around Memphis for over 10 years. He is the consummate performer and his band contains some of the tightest musicians in the Memphis area.



We talked to Eric about his beginnings, his founding the Memphis Blues Society in 2005 and his feelings on the local scene and why bands are not competing to represent Memphis in the IBC.
